Floating the river is the off-site activity of choice of just about every guest that stays at Twelve K Ranch during the summer. And, it doesn’t have to cost anything other than tube rental if needed (or you can bring your own). River access is free and only :15 mins from the property if you go to the San Marcos City Park – parking is free & Lions Club Tube Rental is on-site and super affordable. Other popular floating spots that include shuttle service to/from access points & rentals: Don’s Fish Camp & Texas State Tubes.
Night Time Kayaking
If you’re looking for a more adventurous and unique experience, check out Paddle SMTX where you use translucent kayaks equipped with underwater colored LED lights to illuminate your river trip. The first part of the experience is guided and then get to kayak on your own. This experience is BYOB and daytime tours are also available.
