Floating the river is the off-site activity of choice of just about every summer-time guest at Twelve K Ranch. And, it doesn’t have to cost anything other than tube rental if needed (or bring your own). River access is free and only :15 mins from the property if you go to the San Marcos City Park – free parking. Check out the Lions Club Tube Rental – they are there on-site & super affordable.

Glow in the Dark Kayaking

If you’re looking for a more adventurous and unique experience, check out Paddle SMTX where you use translucent kayaks equipped with underwater colored LED lights to illuminate your river trip. The first part of the experience is guided and then get to kayak on your own. This experience is BYOB and daytime tours are also available.

Shop ‘Til Y’all Drop

We are just a couple minutes away from the Tanger Outlet Mall and it’s worth a trip for the more than 100 brand name & designer stores and bargains. If you’re looking for a more boutique or local shopping experience, head to the small, super cute town of Gruene for their unique shops, live music and restaurants (about :20 mins away).

Bust a Move!

Learn a fun hip-hop or pop dance routine with your best gal pals at Diva Dance Company in San Marcos. You can book your own bachelorette or birthday party at the studio with packages starting a just $30/person + the option to add champagne and decor. Or, there’s even an option to have them come to the property for a truly private experience.

Leave the cooking to a professional as you sit back and enjoy views, conversation, & cocktails at the ranch. The full course meal can be prepared using just the outdoor grill or the kitchen.
